Mobile phone towers and antennas affixed to buildings are now commonplace, more antennas are being added to existing sites and small cells are being installed within metres of homes and businesses across Australia in 2022 and 2023. With this proliferation of wireless technology comes a substantial increase in the levels of radio-frequency radiation (RFR) emitted by 3G, 4G and 5G antennas.
We are finding that the majority of Safer EMF clients homes are now exposed to Extreme levels of RFR (>1,000uw/m2) from mobile phone towers or antennas affixed to buildings and when new antennas are added the levels of radiation at least doubles if not triples in the property. And next we are expecting small cells to be installed only metres from their front door, substantially increasing the levels again and making exposure largely unavoidable.
Shielding is now essential in many homes and we advise on a number of shielding options. Shielding is a very complex and expensive process which, if not done correctly, can result in no change, insufficient change or an increase in the levels of EMF. Window shielding film blocks > 99% of RF radiation
We recently recommended, supplied and installed window shielding for a client who had Extreme RFR levels of 3,300uw/m2 in their master bedroom. Most of the RFR was coming from mobile phone antennas located on the roof of a local shopping centre situated 550 metres from our clients property and another 2 mobile phone towers within line of sight.
Our EMF shielding window film was the perfect choice for this client for the following reasons:
it blocks 99.99% of RF radiation from 3G, 4G and 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Smart Meters and NBN Fixed Wireless
it is clear and virtually undetectable leaving the clients views uninterrupted
the external walls of the property were metal cladded, blocking EMF's from entering the walls around the window
the roof was also colourbond blocking EMF's from entering from above
After the EMF window film was professionally installed the levels of radiation dropped to 30uw/m2, a reduction of 99%. The remaining 30uw/m2 was mostly coming from the neighbours wireless devices through an internal shared wall. ECO shielding paint can be used on the internal wall to reduce those levels further.
